Student Accessibility Services

We are here to support you!

Supporting you through your university journey is the core of what we do at Unilife, with a safe, secure, and enriching environment for your studies. Unilife residences are inclusive spaces for all residents to ensure you can relax, study, enjoy, and feel at home.

We proudly offer 24/7 support, in your Unilife student accommodation during office hours (Mon-Fri 08:30-18:00) and out of hours via our emergency phone line. A member of the Unilife team is always available to provide support and advice when you need it. Your City Managers and other members of our team are mental health and first aid trained and can signpost/direct you to relevant support from charities, organisations, or your university. There are always staff available, so if you ever want to talk to someone, or just need some company, we are here for you.

If you need support, you are not alone. A significant change such as moving to a new city or country can have an impact on your mental health. Unilife understand this and want to encourage open dialogue about mental health. When you arrive at Unilife you will be greeted by a team member and receive a personalised induction to the residence, from a tour of the communal facilities to a ‘how to’ for use of all studio appliances. This is a perfect opportunity to speak with a team member about any queries ahead of your stay. Our team are all local to the residence and can help with directing you to any local services. We want to ensure from the moment you check in to your new home in a Unilife residence, you have the support of the team promoting a positive living environment for you to thrive in both your studies and social experience.

Events to Unwind

As there are national and international mental health, wellbeing and inclusivity initiatives that are excellent for providing greater understanding and awareness, our dedication to your wellbeing is every day and we want to ensure you have the right tools to succeed at university.

The Unilife team promote a weekly events schedule to ensure you have plenty of opportunity to meet and build close bonds with your fellow residents. We ensure there is a core of events centred around mindfulness, healthy living, life skills and wellbeing. Our wellbeing events and onsite facilities such as on-site gym, communal lounges and much more are always available to help you unwind and ease your mind.

Support & Guidance

Support is available in many forms, from university support services to friends and family or reaching out to a Unilife team member. We prioritise your wellbeing at Unilife and recognise our residents may have additional requirements and queries during their stay. At Unilife, our City Managers ensure you can reach out to them at any time for support and guidance. We are open and inclusive of all, from identity, neurodiversity, physical and mental health, disabilities, to any other queries that are important to you.

At Unilife, we want the best for our residents, and we are proud to be your home whilst at university. If you ever feel alone, rest assured there is always someone who is looking out for you. No matter who you are, we will be there for you to ensure you can relax, study and enjoy your university experience.
