Student architects tour Unilife's new Middle Street Development, Portsmouth

Meeting the architects of tomorrow

Here at Unilife we welcome any opportunity to get to know our local students and this week we hosted over 100 Portsmouth University students at our newest development in Middle Street.

The students, current 3rd year architecture students, are based in the University of Portsmouth’s Eldon building which is less than 20 metres from our new Middle Street development and they have been close enough to all the action to watch the building progress over the course of the year whilst sitting in their lectures!

Having donned the necessary health and safety equipment, the students were guided through our Middle Street development and were shown the various stages of construction and the cutting edge processes employed on our developments. They were given the opportunity to ask plenty of questions with our construction experts on site as well one of the Unilife Directors.

Following the site tour the students were able to visit the finished show studios in our Earlsdon building to better understand the level of quality and finish used throughout all our buildings. They were encouraged to test the comfort of our mattresses, test our kitchen appliances and explore all the storage space available within our studios.

As a momento of their visit to Unilife, they were all given a Unilife scale ruler, an invaluable tool for any trainee architect!
